Gold Pressed Starships.

NCC-1701 Model Starship
 U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Model Starship

In the famous words of Spandau Ballet. You are gold! GOLD! Always believe in your soul. (And with shields up, you’re indestructible.)

It seems that Eaglemoss is not slowing down with producing their staggeringly gorgeous replicas, coming off of the back of the Golden Enterprise D we now have the Golden Connie.

Coming in July, Eaglemoss are treating Star Trek Fans with deep pocks to an 18-carat replica of The U.S.S Enterprise NCC-1701 With smooth lines and simple details, this high polished replica will set you back $199.99 Dollars.

So definitely one for the big collectors. Perfect for your conference room display where you talk about multimodal reflection sorting or which evil hologram has taken over control of the ship this week.

Fashion Of The Future – Today!

Gold plated starships aren’t the only thing on today’s list. We also have a series of Gorgeous earrings! Lt Uhura was of course master of comms and good ear fashion on the Enterprise. So it should be no surprise that we are finally getting a set of exquisite replicas of her spiral earrings by RockLove

RockLove go into greater detail describing these earrings:

Honoring Star Trek’s iconic Communications Officer, Lieutenant Nyota Uhura, these spiral earrings are handcrafted in sterling silver and plated in luminous yellow gold.  In the same technique as the originals, each spiral is wound by hand and will vary slightly.  The coils hang from secure lever-back ear wires, just like those worn on-screen by actress Nichelle Nichols in Star Trek: The Original Series.

Handcrafted jewelry is a wonderful artform and is the only way to perfectly capture the original design fo Uhura’s earrings, the fact that each pair is unique with its own touches is such a nice detail.

But RockLove haven’t stopped there, they’ve gone one to create even more wonderful replicas. These include Kira’s d’ja pagh. (Her Bajoran earring)

Known as d’ja pagh, the Bajoran earring is an elaborate earpiece traditionally worn on the right ear by the Bajoran people. Each person’s earring was unique and bore symbols of their family – historically indicating their social cast, marital status, and religious piety.

Accurate to the earring worn on-screen by actress Nana Visitor who played Kira Nerys on Star Trek: Deep Space 9, the Bajoran earring is a symbol of one’s faith – to family, to culture, to freedom. Featuring a single hole piercing, the stud connects with a chain to an accompanying cuff that gently attaches higher up the ear lobe.

It’s nice to know that this design features only one stud and does not require further one for the upper ear. It’s a great and faithful design to the show’s version and will probably be ending up on my christmas list!

Next up, we have a one-off from TNG. But it’s probably the most faithfully recreated. Anyone who knows Guinan will know that this barkeeper is probably the most well dressed on all Enterprise.

So RockLove have outdone themselves with this one:

Bright, colorful, and full of surprises, these earrings are the perfect complement to the one-of-a-kind bartender who served wisdom and drinks in Ten Forward.

Handcrafted brass plated in silver and yellow gold, these dangling earrings feature a domed stud and hammered disk with chime-like strands featuring nuggets of genuine turquoise that shift and sway.

An homage to the earrings worn on-screen for Guinan’s final appearance, played by actress Whoopi Goldberg, in the Star Trek: The Next Generation: Season 6, Episode 22 “Suspicions.” This playful and unique design reflects the offbeat, timeless advice embodied by Guinan’s sage and enigmatic character.

I have to say, recreating a replica based on a one off appearance (from TNG’s 6th series episode Suspicions).

I have to say, for this design, I love the turquoise stones just gently hanging in their asymmetrical layout. It’s a wonderful look. It’s bold, quirky and has such flair that I can’t help but want a pair. (Do they come with a matching giant hat?)

Resistance Is Futile, We Will Assimilate Your Advents Into Our Collective!
Borg Cube Advent
Borg Cube Advent

It’s not just shiny ships Eaglemoss are working on, there’s also Borg Cube Advent Calendars! Eaglemoss are keeping mysterious as to what the contents could be, but from what has been teased already we know that they are hinting at unique collectables and merchandise.

“Every item in these calendars has been specially designed and is exclusive. We’ve brought all our expertise and love for these brands to bear.

One of the things we hear a lot is that people are nervous about buying things for fans because they think they might already have it. The great thing about these advent calendars is that you can absolutely guarantee that the content is brand new, and there is stuff in there that will make true fans smile. That and Christmas are a pretty good combination. We’re so pleased with the final products, so we’re looking forward to revealing them to fans.”

I’ve said this before in my previews and reviews, but I am a bit of a packaging fan. So I am already falling in love with the look of this calendar. Sleek and stylish, it perfectly captures the look of the Borg cube, while also allowing the sleeves inside to double as display stands? It’s a cool and effective use of the packaging!

Space, It’s Been 55 Years! So Let’s Celebrate.
Star Trek 55th Anniversary
Star Trek 55th Anniversary

The official Star Trek shop has a lot to offer for those wanting to ring in the anniversary of their favorite deep space adventure show.

They have made a number of products, hoodie, fleece blanket, mug and mens/womens  t-shirts. All resplendent with the 55th Anniversary design! (I’m definitely going to have to get that t-shirt! Any excuse to get more trek merch!)

Much like everything on this list, it’s bright bold and you’ll want to show it off. The stylised Delta, the splash of division colours, the Connie flying through it all with the date and logo. A variant of this look has quickly become synonymous with the Trek brand all over the internet, and it’s clear to see why. It’s instantly recognisable.

The EXO6 Picard Finally Beams In!
The EXO6 Picard

If you read my last review on Star Trek toys, you’ll know we covered EXO6 teasing us around First Contact day with their new lineup of Captains. Well, now we get to see Captain Picard from “First Contact” in all its glory. And I have to say, I am blown away by the sculpt of Sir Patrick for this model.

  • Fully Articulated Body: More than 30 points of articulation allow the figure to be displayed in multiple dynamic poses, approximately 30 cm tall.
  • Realistic Portraits: Picard’s stern expression shows his resolve in taking on the Borg no matter what the cost. Lovingly rendered by a top artist, this excellent likeness of Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard is specially hand-painted.
  • Starfleet Duty Uniform: Meticulously researched, this duty uniform matches the pattern and colour of the original costume recreated in a 1:6 scale. Including the captain’s jacket, captain’s vest, and duty trousers – all exactingly matched to the original costume. Magnets are sewn into the pants so the holsters for the tricorder and phaser can be attached. An authentically scaled communicator badge is permanently affixed to the jacket and the vest. (Vest and jacket cannot be worn at the same time).
  • Boots: Soft plastic boots sculpted to match the cut and style of the original movie footwear.
  • Display Base: A hexagonal display base featuring the transporter pad will provide additional support for the figure. Two different inserts for the floor of the base can represent the transporter pad or the centre of the transporter array.

Screen accurate model replicas have come a long LONG way in the last few years, so collectors are snapping them up as fast as they can. And this one does not disappoint.

The figures are available for pre-order and will retail at $185.95.

Is there anything that has caught your eye? What are you saving your pennies for? Are you like me and you’re SUPER curious as to what could possibly be inside that Borg Cube Advent Calendar? Let us know in the comments section below!
