RJC – Star Trek Retrospective – Voyager Elite Force Review

Star Trek unfortunately has a poor track record when it comes to video games. Numerous lazy texture swaps or bare bones ship simulators clutter the list of releases.

However, an exception to this rule is the first-person shooter from Raven Software, Star Trek: Voyager – Elite Force. Often regarded as one of the best Star Trek games, let’s jump back into it to relive the thrilling phaser action, it even spawned its sequel Star Trek: Elite Force II which is set after the Voyager Finale “Endgame” and set upon the U.S.S. Enterprise – E.

In Elite Force you play as part of a special unit called the Hazard Team put together by Lt Tuvok aboard the U.S.S. Voyager. As part of this unit, you are assigned to protect the ship from hostile encounters. You can play as either Ensign Alexander Munro or Alexandria Munro.

Along the way you interact with the main cast of Voyager along with some faces old and new, you get the chance to visit all the locations seen on Voyager and you are introduced to some new locations like “Hazard Ops and its adjoining briefing room.
