Hey Everyone and Welcome to What Did I Miss and thank you for joining me for this edition of WDIM news where today I have a bunch of Star Trek stuff to go over with you guys. In fact, I have an update on all five active properties currently in the Star Trek universe and I will also go over the news about the next Star Trek movie and how I think that might look given the information we have.
The first thing I am going to cover is the news about the next Star Trek movie, which is confirmed to be ago and will be the fourth attempt to produce the fourth movie from JJ Abrams and Bad Robot studios. Now, this does not necessarily confirm that the cast from the 2009 reboot that was helmed by Abrams will return, and I think the person they hired may tell us more about the direction of the film than the studio. Paramount has given Star Trek: Discovery writer Kalinda Vazquez the green light to create the next movie in the franchise. Now, Deadline broke the story to be far but I read it in Collider, and there they say the following;
