Review – Discovery U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701 Polar Lights 18″ – Nacelle & Aztecs

Welcome back! Building on the new 1:1000 Enterprise model continues apace, and this week I bring you a look at two significant components of the kit.

If you have not watched the first three parts of our review then you can watch them below before you move on to part four where you will see this amazing kit assembled as rob starts to add the hull plating decals…

First, I will take you through the motor assembly and installation process that really brings the kit alive. The spinning fan effect together with the detail parts in the motor housing really stands out as the star of the show with this kit. After that, stay tuned as we take a look at the detailed ‘Aztec’ decal sheet that is coming soon from Polar Lights.

This sheet will allow modellers to easily replicate the hull plating seen on the CG filming asset, without the challenges associated with masking and painting. Of course, covering an entire model with decals like wallpaper has its own challenges, so one has to make sure to follow the instructions! And join us next week as we wrap up the build with the final reveal!

You can order this kit at the following links…

We hope you are enjoying this build series, and look forward to joining you next week for the final part and to show you how amazing this model truly is…
