Sharper Than A Claw, More Stunning Rigellian Flamegems, It’s Queen Grudge

Her Royal Highness, Queen Grudge is ready to teach the galaxy her masterclass.

When the third season of Star Trek: Discovery hit our screens, we were treated to an array of new stars who joined the cast for their adventure into the 32nd century.

Although we got the talented David Ajala as Cleveland “Book” Booker and Oded Fehr as everyone favourite Admiral Vance, the simple fact is none of them attracted the attention of the fans more so than Grudge, the sidekick come companion of Cleveland “Book” Booker.

Grudge, the Maine Coon cat became an instant fan favourite and quite rightly so not only is she a Queen, but she also has her own Book…

No not that one… This one…

The Book of Grudge

The book of Grudge is a tell-all book by New York Times bestselling author Robb Pearlman but told from the perspective of Grudge herself.

96 pages filled with amazing, anecdotes, points of view and awesome illustrations by Walter Newton, the book tells not only Grudges perspective on all things from how cats domesticated humans to her perspectives of her shipmates.

New York Times bestselling author Robb Pearlman focuses on STAR TREK: DISCOVERY’s breakout star, Grudge the cat. Full of cat photos and whimsical illustrations!

Sharper than a claw and more stunning than a phaser blast, The Book of Grudge’s Prime Directive features her take on everything from space travel to the proper care and training of an array of alien species, STAR TREK-inspired quotes, and haiku meditations on Grudge’s most favorite things, including napping and people (as long as they’re far enough away).

Make no mistake, Cleveland Booker’s massive – and massively cool – cat, Grudge is no mundane mouser. This taciturn tabby is, in fact, “a Queen.” She knows it, and everyone aboard the Discovery knows it, too… though some realize it just a bit too late!

So Just How Cool Is This Book?

When reading the book, I have to admit I was smiling pretty much all the time, the way it is written is hilarious, and after seeing how Grudge appears on screen, I can just imagine Grudge actually thinking what is on the page. Robb has done a superb job of putting what we know of Grudge from screen to page.

Not only is the book filled with high-quality images from the show, but the illustrations by Walter Newton are cute, comical, and fit the tone of the book completely.

One thing that I especially loved was the fact the book does not take itself too seriously, but it has messages in it that reinforce not only Star Trek’s message of acceptance but the ones we all should try to strive for.

Lastly, this is not just a book for Star Trek fans I showed the book to my partner who is a big cat person and they loved it! And spent hours going through the book themselves just smiling and laughing at what they saw.

The book lands in all good retailers on Jan 4th, and you can preorder your copy HERE

We would like to thank Hero Collector for not one, not two but THREE copies of this book to review and to give away… We have already given one away but be sure you keep your eyes open for our next giveaway to feature this amazing book…
