Assimilate This - The Borg Advent From Hero Collector

Assimilate This – The Borg Advent From Hero Collector

Waking up throughout December as a kid we all grew up having our advent calendar to open each day getting nice chocolate or little toys but as we all grew older advent calendars became a thing of the past, well for most of us.

But let me tell you to those of us who never stopped this time-honoured tradition the ritual just became a tad more exciting. The new advent calendar from Hero Collector is what those of us with a little bit more grey in our beard can truly latch onto.

Shaped like a Borg cube, the 24-piece Star Trek Advent calendar is full to the brim of Trek goodies in its weighty foot-square box each morning of December is going to be a dream to any Trek fan.

With Items ranging from Character pins to Socks, it is going to have something for everyone.

The Gifts

The items in the advent are split, with items covering all major series from TOS to Picard, and five of the other items are more generalised Star Trek-themed which means there is a little something for everyone.

The gifts inside are not cheap either, they are really solid items and not what you would expect, to be honest from an advent, normally themed advents have one or two solid items the rest are small trinkets but not this the items are all worthy of being individually sold

Coupled with the fact that these are all “brand new” items never sold before, it just adds weight to my statement that they could be sold should CBS want to as they would sell well to fans.

The items that stand out as items that could sell easily individually are the Borg Shadow Caster and the 2063 Warp Flight Mug, with the Delta Paperweight and the Character Pins coming in a close second.

Its design is solid, and I mean solid, when I received the advent from Hero Collector I was honestly surprised by its weight.

One thing I like about and add a tad of class to this is the box is split into four individual sections along with each day having its own compartment. The items contained are all individually wrapped and not just left loose to me this shows thought into how things are presented.

As you all know once you have gotten to door 24 of your advent you are left with an empty shell, well not with this.

Once you have opened all 24 days the box alone it will serve great as a keepsakes box for anyone wanting to store their Trek memorabilia without the worry of things becoming damaged.

To Sum Up

This advent is not really lacking for what it is, reading some other reviews I have to disagree that it should include things like one of their model starships or the price you pay for the advent is not worth it.

For the price Hero Collector is selling these for, it is a BARGAIN! And if you were to buy the items contained in it separately you would easily spend more than this retails for.
