The Star Trek universe just grew a little larger, today, at The Game Awards, Dramatic Labs, a brand new studio composed of former Telltale Games developers, working in collaboration with ViacomCBS Consumer Products announced they are currently working on Star Trek: Resurgence, a story-driven game reminiscent of Telltale’s The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead.
Coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC (through the Epic Games Store), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X in spring 2022, this new Star Trek RPG, will take you on a brand new adventure with an all-new crew on an all-new starship, but will include fan favourites.
Set in the year 2380 shortly after the Star Trek: The Next Generation feature films, Resurgence is described as The third-person, choice-driven adventure game is set aboard a starship known as the U.S.S. Resolute and features two playable protagonists, First Officer Jara Rydek and Engineering Crewperson Carter Diaz.
Offical Synopsis
Star Trek: Resurgence is an interactive narrative video game that tells an original story set in the era shortly after the events of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Stationed aboard the U.S.S. RESOLUTE, players will assume the role of two principal characters, First Officer Jara Rydek and Engineering Crewperson Carter Diaz, as they unravel a sinister mystery involving two alien civilizations on the brink of war.
Throughout the game, players will immerse themselves in the Star Trek Universe, interacting with new and returning characters through a variety of dialogue and action gameplay to determine the course of the story.

One good thing about this new game is that Star Trek: Resurgence is a single-player experience without microtransactions, DLC or other additional monetization models. which means the game will launch as a whole and will be enjoyable for everyone.
