Hey Everyone, Welcome to What Did I Miss, I am your host Plain and Simple Eric and today I am going over the eighth episode of the third season of Discovery titled “The Sanctuary”
I will also be looking for easter eggs, references and things you may have missed. But let me know right now in the comments what you thought of the episode and do you like where the season is headed. This episode gave us a look at Cleveland Booker’s (David Ajala) home planet and his very complicated past with his family there. The head of the Emerald Chain, Osyraa (Janet Kidder), is also revealed and she does not disappoint, showing to be a ruthless leader that calls back to the Orion’s past as space pirates of the galaxy.
We also got some more information about the Burn, including what the melody that we have been hearing this season is linked to. There was also a pretty funny subplot following Tilly (Mary Wiseman) and Saru (Doug Jones) as they try to decide on Saru’s new catchphrase as captain, which he may or may not have executed. But all in all, I thought this was a good episode that was probably one of the most well balanced of the season.
