This Thursday is a double helping of Trek with season 4, episode 11 of Discovery and After what seems an eternity Picard is BACK! with its second season premiere episode titled “Star Gazer”
We left the crew of La Serina warping off into the unknown at the end of season 1 and by the looks of it, a lot has changed for Picard and his crew.
Not only has Picard (Sir Patrick Stewart) reentered Starfleet but so has Raffi (Michelle Hurd) who is now a full Commander, Rios (Santiago Cabrera) is now in command of the USS Stargazer and everyone’s favourite Romulan is now a Starfleet cadet.
Not only have the lives of our Starfleet cast changed but Seven (Jeri Ryan) has rejoined the Feris Rangers and Jurati and Soji are now on a goodwill tour around the Alpha Quadrant.
But when the USS Stargazer is dispatched to survey a special anomaly disaster strikes pulling the crew back together for a new adventure not only in space but in time. . . with Q (John de Lancie) along for the ride.
Not only is Q back but we welcome some familiar faces back to the screen as Whoppi Goldberg reprises her role as the enigmatic Gunian and Brent Spiner comes back as judging by the picture above Adam Soong…
A Bajoran Connection
when the trailer for season 2 aired last year we got a glimpse of a broken Reckoning Tablet as seen in the DS9 episode “The Reckoning” these tablets have been known to hold trapped Prophet and Pah-wraith.
In the trailer, the tablet was prominently shown and could have something to do with the overall arc of this season, as we know the Prophets and Pah-wraiths are not bound by the normal limits of linear time and space.
The tablet also makes an appearance in the promo images for the premiere episode!
Star Gazer Promo Images
We have sixteen promo images released by Paramount+ for the premiere episode.
We have also pulled some screen grabs from the clip shown on the Ready Room last week showing the bridge of the Stargazer and Captain Rios back in uniform…
