Synopsis
While on a routine supply mission to a colony planet, the U.S.S. Enterprise comes under an attack from an unknown malevolent force. Pike brings all his heart and experience to bear in facing the crisis, but the security officer warns him that the enemy cannot be dealt with by conventional Starfleet means.

In the promo images and trailer you will notice the crew wearing pins above their deltas, these pins were revealed at the Star Trek: Mission Chicago and formed part of the Strange New Worlds exhibit.
They are “Memorial Pins” worn “during ceremonial occasions to memorialise starships destroyed or otherwise lost in the line of duty.” take a closer look at the pins below…
You will notice the USS Discovery is named, but the Discovery we know travelled into the 32nd century and was not destroyed but to anyone outside of a select few the ship was destroyed in the battle with control in the season 2 episode “Such Sweet Sorrow”.

New episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds debut on Thursdays exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Latin America, Australia and the Nordics.
The series airs on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel and streams on Crave in Canada. In New Zealand, it is available on TVNZ, and in India on Voot Select. Strange New Worlds will arrive via Paramount+ in select countries in Europe when the service launches later this year, starting with the UK and Ireland on June 22nd.
