This week’s episode marks the halfway point for season 2 of Star Trek: Picard and the return of a familiar face with the episode titled “Fly Me to the Moon”
Last week’s episode took us on a ride through downtown LA with Raffi and Seven stealing a police car, Rios in ICE detention Picard visiting an old yet new friend (Time Travel) and finally making contact with the “Watcher” who for some reason seems to resemble Laris (Orla Brady)
This week after finally making contact with the watcher, Picard (Patrick Stewart), learns that is she’s watching: his ancestor, Renee Picard (Penelope Mitchell).
With Picard learning about his past ancestor, Raffi (Michelle Hurd) and Seven (Jeri Ryan) are tasked with breaking Rios (Santiago Cabrera) out of ICE detention, Q (John de Lancie) continues his objective of changing the past as he makes contact with Adam Soong who is played by Brent Spiner, It wouldn’t be a Soong without Brent playing the role. And after her absence, since episode one Soji Asha (Isa Briones) returns but how does her role play into the time travel high jinx
Also this week we are introduced to Dr Diane Werner who is played by Lea Thompson who directed “Assimilation” and “Watcher”.
